SA Celebs Who Lost Spouses in 2021. Losing a mate is undoubtedly the hardest thing anybody can go through. This is the person you shared your dreams with, the person that you build a life with, someone you could tell anything, the person that you spent the most time with and now they are no more. Sadly this is just one reality of life that most people will still go through.

Just a week ago, Metro FM personality, Naked DJ, lost his ex wife Naledi Willers to cancer. Although the two were no longer together, they once shared a life, and he probably feels bad for her.

This year once again, death came into families to rip them apart. Everyday, a loved one is lost, and this have made many to conclude that 2021 was the worst year of their lives. The likes of Connie Ferguson, Kgopedi Lilokoe as well as Vanessa Carreira have been left widowed after the passing away of their spouses this year.

Shona lost his battle to Covid-19 after having been hospitalized for a few weeks. His death was not only a loss to his family, but to the TV and Film industry as a whole.

Covid-19 proved to be a monster once again this July. Kgopedi Lilokoe joined the growing number of widows when her significant other, Rev Thapelo Lilokoe lost his life after a short illness. The Metro FM news anchor always shared beautiful posts of them together on social media. Sadly, all that she is left with are memories of the powerful love they once shared.

A few weeks ago, the entertainment industry lost yet another key player. It was announced that Taboo nightclub founder Chris Coutroulis has passed away. Coutroulis, who was married to former Miss South Africa, Vanessa Carreira in 2001, passed on the 30th of November after being sick for a long time. Chris suffered a lot of ailments after his battle with COVID-19. He had been unwell for some time before his untimely death
