M-Net Telenovela Legacy Comes To An End

M-Net Telenovela Legacy Comes To An End. Our entertainment industry has been hit with another major blow. Just as we were to come to terms with the end of shows like, Isidingo, Isibaya and Rhythm City, another major show has been cancelled.

Legacy, which is on its second season, is sadly coming to an end. The show had such a beautiful storyline about a an upmarket investment empire that was established decades ago by Sebastian Price, the patriarch of the super-wealthy Price family. Now he is a silver fox approaching retirement and it is clear that a family member will soon have to take over the reins. But we all know these kind of situations bring conflicts among family members.

About 9 months ago, the M-Net telenovela, which made its debut on September 21 2020, celebrated 100th episode. Things looked even more promising when Legacy came back for its second season in September with more drama and entertainment. Sadly, in this industry, tomorrow is never guaranteed, and the show is nearing its end.

M-Net has announced that after a 2-year run of its local telenovela Legacy, the channel will be exploring new avenues to entertain its loyal viewers in order to cater to their new and evolving desire for limited series. Tshedza Films, which is the production house for Legacy, will conclude the shooting of the second season in February 2022. However viewers will continue to enjoy the show on their screens until September 2022.

Legacy had some of the most talented actors in the country among them, Kgomotso Christopher, Michelle Botes, Don Mlangeni, Deon Lotz, Mary-anne Barlow. It recently introduced other stars like Lalla Hirayama and Nico Panagio in their second season.
