Viewers React to Israel Matseke’s Exit From Gomora. On the 14th of May 2021, Israel Matseke made his much anticipated Gomora debut. Six months down the line he has managed to win hearts, and his character Don is one of the main ones in the Mzansi Magic hit telenovela.
Israel’s character Don, was apparently involved with a very rich woman, who unfortunately died. The now struggling Don had no choice but to return back to Alexandra Township, where a big part of his life was. Before moving out of Alex, Don had a relationship with Zodwa, (played by the talented Sannah Mchunu). The two former lovebirds had a son, Teddy who is played by the award winning Sicelo Buthelezi.
Don somewhat found his way back in their lives, and before they knew it, he had already moved in. As of recent, he has been terrorizing the streets of Alex with his car hijacking gang. Just like many gangs out there, Don was finally betrayed by some of the people he trusted the most. He wanted to take revenge on Ntokozo (Ntobeko Sishi), by eliminating him. Unfortunately Ntokozo’s loved ones came to his rescue and at the end of the day, it was Don who died.
As much as Don was hated by many, we can’t deny the fact that Israel killed that role. The veteran actor, poet, singer and dancer made viewers to look forward to each and every episode, to see what Don will be up to. Israel’s acting has been applauded, and his exit left many saddened. He is currently trending on social media with heartfelt appreciation posts.
