The former beauty queen, model and businesswoman was part of a girl group called Noxie. One Twitter user, shared a video of Babalwa and her band mate belting it out on stage. From her beautiful voice, dance moves, to stage presence, one can tell Babalwa has always been a star. We can only hope, she goes back into the studio one good day.
Babalwa, first rose to fame as the first runner-up in the 1996 Miss South Africa pageant, which was won by Peggy-Sue Khumalo. Among other things, Babalwa has modeled for SA Fashion Week, CPT Fashion Week and for a myriad of fashion shows from Nigeria, London, and Moscow to New Mexico. She is also, the former CEO of the Sundowns Chikitas.
She was a celebrity housemate on the seventh season of the DStv reality television series Big Brother Africa, in 2012. In 2013 she featured in the docu-reality television series Reality Check, on e.tv. Babalwa also made her presence felt on the Big Brother StarGame.
