In March 2020, Refilwe made it in the Tropics Magazine 2020 African Doers List. The list acknowledges the contributions of the most powerful leaders shaping the future of Africa. Other powerful and inspirational South Africans who joined her on the list included Bonang Matheba and Vusi Thembekwayo.
This year once again, Refilwe has been recognized as one of the top 500 most influential Africans. Just like the previous year, she takes this as an honor and shared the great news on social media.
