Nomzamo Mbatha Remembers Her Late Younger Sister in What Would Have Been Her 27th birthday. Losing a sibling to death is a different kind of pain. You think about all the things you used to do together, as well as what you could be doing in the present. This is why Nomzamo Mbatha griefs all over again when it comes to her late sister’s milestones.

Nomzamo tragically lost her younger sister Carla to suicide back in 2014. It has been seven years since the tragedy, and the wound still cuts deep. The talented actress, media personality and activist has spoken about her loss a number of times over the years, more especially on the anniversary of Carla’s death and on birthdays. On this day, Carla would have turned 27 years and once again Nomzamo took a moment to remember her.
Although she normally brings flowers every year, this time around Nomzamo brought balloons and a hearts as a way to deal with her pain. She also wrote a beautiful tribute in which she spoke highly of the late Carla.

Year 7. Every year I bring flowers, a heart in pieces and tears of agony. This year I brought balloons and a heart on the mend to peace and halfway to true acceptance.
Heavenly 27th birthday ? ? to my twin and baby sister @carla_hd … who loved DEEPLY AND LOUDLY. When she chose you, she truly chose you and would be your first line of defence like a true Scorpio. She was brave and true, honest, extremely kind and seriously funny. Courageous in every way, beautiful on all fronts and my very own soft landing.
I will love her for all my days on earth and miss her equally as much.
.
I serve a merciful God that made it possible for us to live in this lifetime together and be of kin and blood.
.
Here’s to 27 my Ninja… I will meet you on the other side someday. Pray you always watch over me,” Nomzamo said.
