Eskom’s Load Shedding Stage 4 Announcement Leaves Tweeps Furious
Eskom’s Load Shedding Stage 4 Announcement Leaves Tweeps Furious. South Africa has to brace itself for yet another week of no electricity. Just a day ago, Eskom announced that Stage 2 load shedding will continue throughout the week from 05:00 on Monday until 05:00 on Saturday.Just as we thought that the situation was getting better, more bad news has been shared.
Eskom has just announced that Stage 4 load shedding is back with a bang. Blackouts will be implemented form 1 pm today until 5 am on Friday. From there, Stage 2 will continue until Saturday 5 am. This according to Eskom, is due to a “major incident” in Zambia that affected power supply from Cahora Bassa.
This announcement did not sit well with a lot of people, more so since they were not given time to schedule their engagements well in time. A lot of people blame the African National Congress for incompetency, while others blame corrupt officials. Whatever the case, this is not on, more so looking at the fact that electricity is a necessity.

There is only one way to show my frustration with power cuts – seriously. And now #Eskom blames an incident in Zambia. How about admitting to a maintenance mess-up? pic.twitter.com/0CrcCTNMvN

We are deep in a power crisis in South Africa. And the President @CyrilRamaphosa does not have any impactful actions in his arsenal to fix this. In about 6 months (winter 2022) we could face a national black out. #Eskom
