Connie Ferguson Remembers Shona in What Would Have Been Their 20th Wedding Anniversary. This is quite heavy. The way we knew them, the Fergusons could be painting the town red, celebrating 20 years as a married couple. Sadly four months ago, Shona Ferguson passed away, leaving his wife Connie a widow.

Shona died on the 30th of July after battling Covid-19 for weeks. His death was a major blow to the industry, but mostly to his family. Over the years, Connie and Shona have shown us the meaning of love and family. They were one couple that publicly loved one another, leaving a perfect example to those who followed them.

The Fergusons met in July 2001, and four months later in November 2001, they got married. This goes on to show that, when you find the one, you know immediately. This was Connie’s second marriage after divorcing actor and producer Neo Matsunyane, with whom she shares a daughter, Lesedi, with. In June 2002, Shona and Connie welcomed their daughter, Alicia. Together with Lesedi’s son, the Fergusons have always been a picture perfect family, adored by many.

Sadly the death of Shona has left a big whole in their hearts as well as a big gap in their lives. The award winning actor and producer, died four months before he could celebrate such a big marriage milestone. His widow, Connie, took to social media to remember him as well as express grief at the same time. We continue to wish the family peace and light as the continue to deal with the grief.
