Case in point will be the Tembisa 10 saga which is currently making headlines. A few years ago, many people congratulated Bontle Modiselle and Priddy Ugly on their ‘wedding’ after they shot the ‘I Do’ song by Amanda Blacks and Lasauce.
The latest celebrity to put us all in an April Fool kind of situation is Rami Chuene. The veteran actress and media personality recently shared a picture of herself rocking a beautiful Tomi Rikhotso wedding gown and holding a bouquet. Without a doubt Rami looked the part. She captioned the picture, “I also attended a wedding this long weekend…“
Immediately after Rami shared that, congratulatory messages poured in. Industry peers, mainstream media, social media as well as fans sent messages of congratulations to Rami. Well it looks like we once again jumped into conclusions. Looking at the ambiguous caption, Rami only said she attended a wedding, not anything about her being a bride.
It turns out she wore the gown for one of her scenes on Giyani: Land of Blood 2nd season. Rami will be portraying the character of Manoko Ledwaba in the second season of the drama series, which is set to premiere next month on a new slot on Thursdays and Fridays at 9 pm starting from the 1st of November. On the trailer that she just shared, Rami is rocking the same gown.
