Masasa Mbangeni Bags a Cool Hosting Gig. Congratulations are in order for Masasa Mbangeni who has just bagged another hosting gig. A months ago she co-hosted the Ebubeleni Fashion Show. The fashion show was held to celebrate 10 years of bringing a wide range of festive season entertainment to the Bay. Mbangeni, who looked all sorts of gorgoeus hosted the fashion show alongside and Real Goboza presenter Samora Mangesi.
Mbangeni has once again bagged another hosting gig, and we are here for her securing the bag. The award winning actress will hos the first annual Äänit Prize awards together with The Mandela Rhodes Foundation CEO Judy Sikuza. The awards will take place on the 23rd of October 2021 at 18:30 SAST. The public and the press are invited to join the livestream for the awards and to hear from some of Africa’s exceptional minds in an intimate Q&A between the judges and the finalists.

Seven finalists in the running to win $80 000 for socially impactful projects in Africa. The finalists run transformative projects in key areas of impact ranging from educational technology to sustainable fashion and public health. They come from Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Canada. The Äänit Prize supports initiatives that can deliver positive social impact for Africa’s most marginalized populations. The competition is open to alumni of the Mandela Rhodes Scholarship and the Rhodes Scholarship.
