Khanya Mkangisa Makes a Major Comeback to The Queen
Khanya Mkangisa Makes a Major Comeback to The Queen. This is one face a lot of people have definitely missed onscreen. The good news is that Khanya Mkangisa is back on screen as she returns to The Queen Mzansi. She joined the popular telenovela in January 2019, where she played the role of Akhona, a niece to Detective Vuyiswa Jola.
The character has since disappeared from the hit show, and no explanation was given. Round about that time, Khanya was going through personal stuff which many assumed could have been the reason, Akhona was cut off the show. The talented actress and media personality found herself on the wrong side of the law after she allegedly bumped a certain Katlego Mphuthi’s Orange BMW at the complex where they both reside. There were reports that she even spent a night in jail.
Well, although the scandal dragged for months, Khanya dusted herself up and more roles came by. In 2020, she joined the cast of the SABC 2 hit drama, Muvhango. Khanya played Mbali, a sassy, street, Boujie, smart and Instagram obsessed young lady, who was all about the good life.
She s now back on The Queen and we can’t wait to see the direction that her storyline takes. Will she help auntie Vuyiswa see that her husband Colonel Sebata is cheating on her, with Harriet Khoza? Now that will be an interesting turn of events.
“Wanted to wait, but I can’t keep it in any longer. Akhona’s back 25 October 2021,” Khanya announced excitedly.
