Basetsana Kumalo Sings Her Son’s Praises As He Celebrates His 19th Birthday. It’s raining birthdays in the Kumalo household. Just a couple of weeks back, on the 29th of March, Basetsana Kumalo celebrated her Golden Jubilee. The former Miss SA, TV mogul and author went all out in a three-day celebration.
Today her first-born son Gabriel Nkosinathi Kumalo is celebrating his 19th birthday. Taking to Instagram, the proud mom, gushed over her son’s outstanding qualities. Bassie stated that Nathi, is a role model to his two younger siblings, and a focused man.
“Beloved son, my angel Gabriel, Nkosinathi for the Lord is with us. On your 19th birthday such a joy to witness the man you have become and indeed growing to be. I beam with deep pride to call you my son.
You an exemplary role model to your siblings and they look up to you. You are focused young man and a man of your word. You my son are destined for greatness and the best is yet to come for you. Your respect for family and our values will stand you in good stead in life,” she said.
Bassie also spoke about the close bond they share as mother and son. “love our open and deep conversations, gosh how you make me laugh, your stories and sense of humour cracks me up.”
She wishes her son protection and guidance from above. As Nathi has only one year as a teen, Bassie advised him to always trust his instincts and stand up for the truth.
“Happy birthday son. You are dearly loved champ,” she concluded her shout out.”
