Rami Chuene Bags A Cool TV Presenting Gig. When one door closes, definitely more doors open, you just have to push harder. The entertainment industry is the most brutal one, with a lot of talented people losing jobs everyday for various reasons. But if you are as persistent as the likes of Rami Chuene, surely you will bounce back in no time.
Many thought it was the end of the road for her when she exited The Queen. Looking at the whole age factor, it was going to be difficult for Rami to compete with upcoming stars. But her, the talented actress scored herself an acting gig on BET’s first telenovela, Isono. She played Jumima aka Juju, a troubled aunt who often bought into occasional conspiracy theories and gets the wrong end of the stick by making odd connections. Unfortunately the character was killed off a few months ago. Once again Rami was left with no job.
But hey, before she could even take a break, Rami got a new job as a TV host. South African National Parks has engaged her services as a host of their upcoming show, Away For Repair. The new 13 episode series will showcases heartfelt stories of ordinary people taking much-needed time away to mend broken bonds. Rami will host alongside renowned life coach Romeo Mabasa.
Viewers will follow the series as the duo travel from the mysteries of Southern Africa’s first ancient African Kingdom in the Mapungubwe National Park, to the rugged coastline and deep forested gorges of the Tsitsikamma National Park through to the iconic Kruger National Park. The series will see the teams compete in various adventures that will challenge them physically and mentally all in a bid to repair their broken bonds.
Away For Repair will debut on the 7th of October 2021 at 21:30 on Mzansi Magic DSTV channel 161.
