Pics! Inside Shudufhadzo Musida’s Beautiful Book Tours Across South Africa. From a beauty queen title holder, to now an author of note, Shudufhadzo Musida is without a doubt doing the most out there. Beginning of September she announced that her debut book, Shudu Finds Her Magic, was officially out. The book, which is aimed at children aged from 4 to 9, will help bullying victims to survive the trauma.
We live in a world where a lot of children take their own lives as a result of being bullied. In April this year, 15 year old Lufuno Mavhungu took her own life, allegedly after being bullied by her schoolmates. A disturbing viral video of the grade 10 Mbilwi Secondary School student showed her being beaten by another pupil, while other schoolgirls cheered on. As a result, Lufuno thereafter allegedly locked herself up in the room and overdosed on prescription pills on Monday and sadly passed away.
Just like many children out there, the reigning Miss South Africa experienced bullying when she moved to a new province and a new school. Shudu Finds Her Magic, is her gift to any student out there to conquer bullies and be the best they can be in a world full of hate. The book is doing amazing things out there, and it is already in the best selling category.
To make sure that the book is distributed well across the country, she has embarked on a national book tour. Shudu has already kick-started her book tour in Cape Town at Herschel Primary School. She read for students, as a way to promote the love for reading from an early age. She has also visited learners from Riverton Primary School in an effort to inspire reading and to also raise Mental Health Awareness and Education in words palatable and understandable to children.
Shudu has also chosen her book which is available in six languages as part of her Beauty with a Purpose project for Miss World 2021.
