Pics! Inside Mapaseka Mokwele’s Graduation. Covid-19 has without a doubt messed up our lives and celebrations are not what they used to be. A lot of people have had intimate weddings, funerals among other gatherings. Some have even decided to hold virtual events, and in some instances not to celebrate at all.

But since the regulations have eased up now that we are on adjusted alert level 2, a lot of people are able to celebrate their milestones with their loved ones. One such is Mapaseka Mokwele, who recently had her graduation ceremony. Although she finished her Masters around late 2019 to early 2020, the media personality could not graduate because Covid-19 happened. Mapaseka was also not keen on having a virtual graduation ceremony, so she just let it be.

After a lot of obstacles happened, Mapaseka made peace with the fact that she might just fetch her certificate from Wits University and continue with her life. Lucky enough for her, she recently received an email inviting her to a graduation ceremony. After her mother and husband Tbose Mokwele persuaded her to attend, Mapaseka did just that, and she had a great time.

“This grad on its own has been quite a journey… finished this Masters late 2019/ early 2020. Enter COVID… Chose not to graduate virtually because I wanted to walk across that stage, I worked hard for this and wanted to celebrate fully! Soon gave up on that dream and thought OK fine let’s just do it… was given the wrong virtual grad date?? so I missed it… I was so upset.. then I just thought ok whatever… just fetch your certificate…
Last week I received an email saying Grad is on Monday! My everyday supporters (Hubby @tboseza and my Mom) insisted I attend… I was already so over it. Thank you both for your constant love and support ❤️❤️❤️,” Mapaseka said.
