She is a journalist, an editor, a media personality, has done acting, is an author, and a musician among many other professions.
Spreading her wings even further, Kuli is now trying her hand in politics. She has been announced as a Councillor candidate for the African Transformation Movement (ATM) in Tshwane. Mzwanele Manyi took many by surprise when announced the breaking news on Twitter on Wednesday.
“The one and only @kuliroberts has joined the winning team. Servant Kuli has signed up to serve the people of South Africa. Servant Kuli is ATM Councillor Candidate for Ward 65 in Tshwane. We wish her well,” Manyi announced.
Kuli received a lot of congratulatory messages from most of her followers, who believe she can bring change for the masses. Having noted that some do not take her seriously, more so because she appears to be a carefree individual.
Among those who are not happy with her standing for office is Ntsiki Mazwai. The outspoken poet, TV personality and musician mentioned how Kuli used to bully her back in the day. Ntsiki said Sunday World publication used to bully her each and every week, and the fact that Kuli wants to be a leader does not sit well with her.
