Job description
Video editor required for busy stock library.
Greatstock Motion, leading supplier of visual solutions, needs an experienced video editor/post-production professional, to be based in Illovo, Johannesburg.
The position rarely involves actual editing, so would also suit candidates with good high-end post-production experience – but needs a creative editor’s eye in selecting suitable content from its contributors’ submissions, performing accurate post-production processes such as colourising, transcoding and bulk processing. Stock footage content is distributed on its own website at www.greatstock.co.za, and via several leading international agents. Agent relationships need to be managed skilfully and systematically.
The position requires at least three years’ experience in a professional editing or post environment
Requirements
- A good creative sense and editors eye
- Proficiency in all aspects of Adobe Premier cc, Final Cut Pro and related products.
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft products such as Excel, Word etc.
- Proficiency with colour management and related post-prod. processes
- Extensive knowledge of codecs and camera formats, including 4K
- Ability to systematically manage databases and metadata content.
- Good intra-personal skills, and writing abilities.
- Good team-player attributes – in dealing with other members of the team and contributors.
