Blood & Water Makes Another International Record. Season II is definitely picking up from where the first season left. Just as few days after its release in May 2020, Blood & Water took the number one spot in the Top 10 in the USA on Netflix.
The Netflix series even caught the attention of international stars among them, Gabrielle Union and her husband Dwyane Wade. After watching season one, the American power couple revealed that they can’t wait for season II of Blood and Water. Gabrielle, even went as far as mentioning the Netflix series during a pitch.
Season II has also been received exceptionally well by viewers across the world. Yesterday, (Tuesday 28th), Blood and Water made it among the Top 10 most watched shows on Netflix. Talk about a massive achievement worth celebrating. The producer of the show, Nosipho Ngoasheng shared the great news and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all those who have been supportive.

The series boasts a star studded cast among them, Gail Mabalane, Zikhona Sodlaka, Sello Maake KaNcube, Natasha Thahane, Ama Qamata, Khosi Ngema. The storyline centres around Parkhurst College, a prestigious inner-city school for Cape Town’s elite scholars and academic overachievers. An intelligent, proactive and impulsive 16- year-old Puleng Khumalo, then engineers her transfer to the school to investigate the 17-year- old cold case of her abducted-at-birth older sister she’s never met.
