Over such a short period of time, Mbalenhle Mavimbela has been bagging roles in some of the biggest shows on TV. This is not by luck, her talent and hard work speaks fro her before she can even open her mouth. 1. Mbalenhle Mavimbela was born on the 14th of January 1997, which make her 24 years old.

2. After finishing matric she applied for varsity and could not get a space at DUT’s drama department, so she settled for studying travel and tourism instead.

3. On campus though, she spent more time at the drama department than at her own department. Mbali spent all her lunch breaks there and sometimes would bunk to watch performances there. It didn’t take long for her to drop out of that course.

4. Mbali is best known for her starring role as Tandzile in the e.tv telenovela Isipho, which was her first television role.

5. When Isipho ended abruptly after 100 episodes, she had smaller roles in other shows among them, IsibayaKarektas, Judas Kiss and House of Zwide.

6. In the first season of Durban Gen, an e.tv medical drama telenovela, Mbali was cast as Thandi. Mbali also appeared in the first season of Judas Kiss, a South African television drama series, as Zamazulu.

7. The talented actress recently joined the cast of SABC1’s popular soapie Skeem Saam, where she plays the character of Nothile.

8. Nothile is business mogul Lehasa Maphosa’s (Cedri Fourie) love interest, and it looks like she came to avenge her brother Fanie Maserumola’s death.

9. Sadly her grandmother whom she was close to passed away two days before she appeared on the educational soapie.

10. If she was not in the entertainment industry, Mbali says she would definitely be in aviation.
