“Yall Loved My Character,” Gift Mokhampanyane Appreciates His Skeem Saam Fans. Fanie Maserumule has become a household name in South Africa and beyond. Love or hate him, the Skeem Saam character brought action, drama as well as laughter to the hit SABC1 drama.

Fanie is one guy who would do anything to survive and be on top. He schemes to an extend that he puts other people’s lives in danger, just for him to reach his career goals. The character is played by talented actor and TV presenter, Gift Mokhampanyane.

Sadly it looks like it is the end of the road for Fanie though. His scheming ways finally caught up with him when he wanted to have Cafe Rovhuwa shares at all costs. Fanie put his boss Lehasa Maposa through the most, when he wanted a bigger stake in his restaurant. Lehasa arranged for him to be killed, and when the gunmen couldn’t complete the mission, he went on to finish the job himself.

Fans of the show took to Twitter to appreciate the talent that Gift is. A lot of the are saddened by the possibility that they may never see him again on the show. Some of them are hoping for a plot twist, where Fanie emerges out of nowhere. One thing for sure, he was loved by many, and will be dearly missed.
