Simphiwe Ngema On How Far She Has Come Since The Death of Her Husband Dumi Masilela. On this day four years ago, the nation lost another talented youngster. Dumi Masilela was shot in the abdomen in an attempted hijacking on August 2 2017 and died in hospital a day later.
The Rhythm City actor and musician left behind his wife Simphiwe Ngema, who he married just three months before his untimely death. Over the years, Ngema has been openly sharing her grief on social media. The actress and influencer did all she could to keep Masilela’s memory alive, including completing and releasing his album.
Losing a spouse, more so when the marriage is still new can’t be easy on anyone. Although Ngema has moved on with Tino Chinyani, there are moments when she is overwhelmed by the grief of Masilela’s passing. Looking back from where she has come from since that fateful day, Ngema appreciates the fact that her life has taken a turn around and that she can still smile.
