Mvelo Makhanya Takes A Moment To Appreciate Her TV Dad. The Ngemas are the among some of the most loved families on TV. The family is made up of Mlungisi Ngema, Ma Ngema his wife and their two daughters Lindiwe and Omphile. Sadly it look like we will never see the head of the family, Baba Ngema, on Scandal! again.
The character was played by the talented veteran actor Patrick Mofokeng, who has since bagged a new character on an upcoming show called The Wife. His character o Scandal! was quite iconic though. Baba Ngema was ready to do anything to protect his family. But just like most e out there, he had his own flaws ad infidelity was one of them. On the past few weeks, Baba Ngema almost lost his family over a mistress who wanted to take over as the first lady of the house.
Another thing, he was not happy that her daughter Lindiwe was getting married to ex convict Nhlamulo Maseko, a character played by Matthews Rantsoma. During an altercation with Nhlamulo, Baba Ngema slipped, fell and injured his head. He became unconscious, thus resulting in him not attending his daughter’s wedding.
According to Mvelo Makhanya‘s Instagram post, that was the end of Baba Ngema’s road on the e.tv show. She stated that because of their bond, people always asked her if they were real father and daughter. Mvelo says she learnt many lessons and gained wisdom from Mofokeng over the years.
