Mohale Addresses Somizi Statement and Sheds Some Light on Divorce Proceedings. There is indeed a thin line between love and hate. A year ago, Somizi and Mohale were among the strongest power couples in celebville. Social media was always filled with their baceation pictures, lovey dovey posts and anything that made them stand out as an inspirational couple.

Now things have gone downhill, and the once celebrated couple is going through one of the most painful breakups ever. Although there were no statements yet, for the longest time people suspected that there could be trouble in paradise for the two. This is because there were no more social media posts, and each one of them spent time with other people instead of their spouse.

A few days ago, an audio recording was leaked on social media where Mohale accused Somizi of pulling a kitchen knife on him and threatening to butcher both of them to death just three weeks into their relationship. Mohale also alleged that his husband, who apparently loves group sex, also suggested that they enjoy a steamy threesome with a stranger when they were in Amsterdam. He also accused Somizi of breaking his ribs and almost knocking out his two teeth in a jealously fueled violent domestic dispute in their Johannesburg home last year.

Because of these accusations, Somizi was granted leave by Metro FM to sort out his issues. The celebrated media personality, author and all round entertainer was also let go by M-Net, and as such he is no longer an Idols SA judge. Somizi thus took to Instagram to clear his name on all the allegations made against him by his estranged husband, Mohale. He said that he has never physically or knowingly emotionally abused Mohale, and mentioned only one altercation in which he had to defend himself where both of them were physically hurt by the other.

Mohale also shared his side of the story and responded to Somizi’s statement. The actor, influencer and entrepreneur, said it was never his intentions for his marriage woes to be exposed in public, nor to damage Somizi’s reputation. Mohale stated that the audio was never meant to be aired out in public, and he is disappointed that the person he confided in decided otherwise.

Mohale further said that he did suffer physical and psychological abuse in his marriage to Somizi. He also confirmed that indeed they are in the process of divorce. He thanked his family, friends and members of the public who showed him massive support. At this moment Mohale wants privacy as he deals with the matter.

“In response to the news circulating pertaining to the material details about issues within my marriage as well as the recent statement by my estranged husband, I wish to confirm that we are indeed in the process of a divorce,” Mohale said.
