“I Don’t Know How I’ll Ever Perform Msebenzi Wethu,” Lady Du. Yesterday was one of the saddest days the local entertainment industry faced. South Africa learned that Amapiano artists, Killer Kau and Mpura lost their lives over the weekend in a car accident.

The two died on their way to a gig to Rustenburg in North West. There were six occupants in the vehicle when he accident occurred and only one person, a lady survived and she is in hospital. Other occupants who lost their lives are rising musician Khanya ‘The Voice’ Hadebe, DJ Thando Tot and Road Manager, TD Sage. The 6th person who lost their life, was on a different vehicle.

Lady Du, who is among celebrities that broke the devastating news on social media is not coping with the loss. The musician shared a video on Instagram in which she expressed her grief. She has also apologized for passing out in the middle of a performance after hearing the news. Lady Du, who collaborated with Mpura on Umsebenzi Wethu hit single also said that she doesn’t know how she will ever perform the song now that Mpura has passed away.

To the fans that saw me pass out last night, I apologize, I tried soooo hard to be strong, I tried to keep it together. I thought I’d be able to handle that last gig, But I broke down, I don’t know how I’ll ever perform msebenzi wethu. I’m taking some time off! Thank you,” Lady Du said.
