Thobani Nzuza Joins Hit Mzansi Magic Telenovela. Congratulations are in order for Thobani Nzuza. The award-winning actor, director, vocalist and African dancer has just bagged another acting gig. Nzuza is the latest star to join the talented cast of Mzansi Magic telenovela, DiepCity.
Produced by the award-winning creator and director, Mandla N of Black Brain Productions DiepCity is a fresh new telenovela that explores the struggle of four young women trying to make their way in the world. Nzuza has been cast to play, the role of Smangaliso, a handsome and successful business owner with ulterior motives.
Smangaliso will butt heads with DiepCity’s most feared criminal, Bra Elliot who is played by Mduduzi Mdakane. Bra Elliot has been terrorizing the community for years. He uses four young women from humble backgrounds who have been forced into crime while in high school, just to make ends meet. Other cast members include Dawn Thandeka King, Nozuko Ncayiyane and Hamilton Dhlamini.
In 2018 Nzuza landed his first starring role in television in the Mzansi Magic drama series eHostela, which revolves around two brothers who. The brothers along with their father ran a powerful and secret organization in a worker’s hostel. Later in 2019 he landed his second starring role in television, this time in the e.tv supernatural telenovela Isipho as Lwandle. He the joined the cast of Uzalo where he played Kehla.
Nzuza is set to make his DiepCity debut on the 5th of July 2021, and we can’t wait.
