Petronella Tshuma On How Breaking Up With Her Partner Affected Her Work

Petronella Tshuma On How Breaking Up With Her Partner Affected Her Work. No matter from which angle we look at them, break ups are hard. It is not easy to get over a person you shared almost everything with. But as they say, Mjolo is a pandemic, and we can’t all experience the happily ever after.

Even the most inspirational couples do go through some differences and end up breaking up. The likes of Loot Love and Reason, Nomzamo Mbatha and Maps Maponyane, Pearl Thusi and Robert Marawa, DJ Zinhle and AKA, Mona Monyane and Khulu Skenjane, Proverb and Liesl Laurie ad a whole lot more. Although some remained friends, others wanted nothing to do with their ex. There is a thin line between love and hate, such is life!

Some of our celebs, prefer not to publicize their breakups until the right time comes. One such is Rhythm City actress Petronella Tshuma. She just revealed o social media that she and her baby daddy called it quits almost a year ago. As a mother of two babies from different fathers, Tshuma was worried about her worth after the breakup.

Here’s the thing; To sum up it within a year? Okay. Nearly a year ago Camagu’s dad and I split up. Was that ever the plan? Of course not. So here I am mother to two beautiful boys both with different fathers. Who would ever want to be with me again? I’m used goods? I must have been the problem right? My Lobola price will probably cost pocket change,” she said.

Another thing, the breakup affected her professional life. Tshuma stated that she had a breakdown at work, and basically she could not act. Lucky for her, Rhythm City was understanding, and she received massive support. They even offered to pay for her therapy, but decided against going since the show was getting canned.

‘I had such a breakdown at work, I could not act. Lines would not stick. But here I am, single mum with two kids that I need to provide for. Rhythm City my absolutely amazing family were understanding. Gave me time and the greatest support. Offered and would pay for therapy. I didn’t go. Because I then got news the show was being canceled. I remember saying to my Cast members “how will I look after my children?” Petronella added.
