“My Heart Is Not OK,” Zola Nombona On Working Away From Home. As a new mother, the moment your child is born, you can’t help but have a strong attachment to them. You can’t imagine a moment away from your bundle of joy. But sadly there will always be pressing matters like work duties forcing you to leave your child for hours, days or even months.
This is the challenge that Zola Nombona is currently faced with. The talented actress had to be away from her son Cebelihle who recently celebrated his first birthday. It’s only two days and Zola can’t deal. This is the first time she has been away from her son this long. Now that the country is going through the most, all Zola wants is to see Cebelihle’s smile and get a hug from him.
“I’ve never been away from my son for more than 48 hours. I’m now working away from home and my heart is not OK. The state of our country is already leaving one with a nasty aftertaste. Oh what I would give to see his smile, to score a 2 second hug and hear him say Mama ?,” Zola said.
Zola shares her son with baby daddy, Thomas Gumede. The two actors managed to keep their relationship private until the birth of Cebelihle in May 2020. Ever since then, Zola and Thomas together with bundle of joy have been serving us nothing but beautiful family vibes.
