Live Amp Coming To An End After 25 Seasons. Over the past couple of years we have seen some of the most popular shows get canceled. Shows like Isidingo, Isibaya, Rhythm City, The Throne, Club 808, Jam Alley and so many others ended even though the masses loved them.
Another popular show sadly coming to an end is Live Amp. The SABC1 show’s upcoming 25th season will be its very last. Live premiered on SABC1 on Friday, 29 June 2007, at 21h00, and is has been a hit since. Over the years, Live has had some of the greatest hosts in the country among them, Andile Ncube, Tbo Touch, Bonang Matheba, Sizwe Dhlomo, Phila Mazibuko, Pearl Thusi, Lerato Kganyago, Minnie Dlamini, Loot Love and DJ Warras. Currently Live Amp is presented by DJ Speedsta and DJ Lamiez Holworthy who bagged the hosting gig in 2018.
Live Amp is on its 25th season, which is also its last. This according to reports is as a result of poor ratings over the years. The theme for this season will be ‘The Last Dance” and is set to include guest appearances and other reminiscent elements as the series finishes on a high.
