Lamiez Holworthy Pens A Beautiful Message As Live Amp Airs Its Final Season
Lamiez Holworthy Pens A Beautiful Message As Live Amp Airs Its Final Season. This is the end of an era. After 25 seasons Live Amp is coming to an end. Although it is normal for shows to come and go, no one could have predicted this. The music show, which brought us starts, has kept us entertained for over a decade.
Live premiered on SABC1 on Friday, 29 June 2007, at 21h00, and is has been a hit since. Over the years, Live has had some of the greatest hosts in the country among them, Andile Ncube, Tbo Touch, Bonang Matheba, Sizwe Dhlomo, Phila Mazibuko, Pearl Thusi, Lerato Kganyago, Minnie Dlamini, Loot Love and DJ Warras. Currently Live Amp is presented by DJ Speedsta and DJ Lamiez Holworthy who bagged the hosting gig in 2018.
As much as this comes as a shock for viewers out there, Lamiez chose to look at the positive side. The media personality and DJ is grateful for the opportunity, since gigs are not always easy to come by. As a thick woman whose body is full of tattoos, Lamiez knows very well that it is not easy to get a gig of such magnitude.
“Who would’ve thought a big girl with tattoos, crazy hair n her own style frm Pitori would be on the biggest music show in our country? When main stream media was always dominated by the opposite? Live amp will 4ever be special man- a win way bigger than me. Here’s to more wins,” Lamiez said.
