“A Full-Circle Moment,” Miss South Africa 2025 Finalist Nthabiseng Kgasi On Hosting Miss Soweto Red Carpet. One thing about being part of Miss South Africa, it opens doors for you. Many former participants have been absorbed in the entertainment space as media personalities, actresses, models, influencers and business owners, among many other opportunities.
Nthabiseng Kgasi, who was a Miss SA 2025 Top 10 finalists knows this first hand. Not only is she attending major industry events, she also gets to bag some cool gigs. This past weekend she was a host at the Miss Soweto 2025 red carpet. Nthabiseng looked all sorts of gorgeous as she interviewed the attendees. She regards this as a full circle moment, more so since she was crowned White Star Miss Soweto 2016. As a Miss SA finalist, Nthabiseng was among the favorites, and she still is, post the pageant. Now she is using her influence to inspire other young women, who has dreams to be beauty queens.
“A full-circle moment ✨ Hosting the Miss Soweto red carpet reminded me why I love what I do. Walking in purpose, doing what sets my soul on fire,” Nthabiseng said.
The 46th White Star Miss Soweto pageant took place on the 30th of November 2025. The spectacular event was held at the Soweto, with a number of A-listers in attendance. Co-hosts Nia Brown and YFM radio presenter, Thulz brought vibrant energy and seamless flow to the event. Among the judges were Bridget Masinga, Masego Seemela, and Bongi Mlotshwa.
Lungile Siyaphi was crowned the queen, pocketing R100 000 in cash from White Star, and stunning evening gowns by Eli Ball. The 1st Princess, Boitumelo Molotsana, received R20 000 in cash, as well as the Miss Social Butterfly prize of R500. The 2nd Princess, Kutlwano Zingitwa, earned R15 000. All three top winners received luxurious beauty hampers from Black Opal. The coveted People’s Choice Award, determined by public vote, went to Thando Motha, and she got awarded R5 000 cash.
