Theo Baloyi Donates Pairs of Bathu Shoes In Alexandra Township. This is a case of ‘we started from the bottom, and now we are here’. Theo Baloyi has shown everyone out there that humble beginnings can breed success. The successful businessman started his shoe brand in Alexandra Township, and now he owns 25 stores around South Africa.
Giving back is the epitome of success, and Baloyi is doing very well in that regard. The inspirational philanthropist recently visited Alexandra township, where he donated 500 pairs of Bathu Shoes. The shoes were donated at, Dr. Knak Primary School, where the recipients were overjoyed. Tomorrow (Wednesday) he will give away 750 pairs to two schools in Phake, Mpumalanga where he was raised. Baloyi aims at donating 99 500 pairs by February 2022, and a whopping 995 500 pairs in the next 10years.
“Last week we donated 500 pairs in Alex , a township where my entrepreneurship & educational journey began. Tomorrow we are donating 750 pairs in Phake in Mpumalanga , where I was raised. 1. 500 pairs – Mabothe high school 2. 250 pairs -Mapala combined school,” he announced.
In February this year, Bathu collaborated with media personality, author and entrepreneur Somizi. The duo dropped the trendy BATHUXSOMIZI range, which everyone can’t stop talking about. Just a month ago, Bathu made it to the Top 25 Most admired Africa Brands. Bathu has been ranked number 10 on the list which was compiled by Brand Africa.
It is difficult to even believe that Baloyi was declined 16 times by the factory before being approved for the mesh edition flagship design. His perseverance has paid off, and now he enjoys success both locally and across the continent. Baloyi is at that stage where he shows his heartfelt appreciation by giving back to the community.
