Khanyisa Bunu Bids Farewell to Her Scandal! Character Dambisa. Khanyisa Bunu has been in the acting industry for quite some time, in major shows like SesTop La. One of her iconic roles has been playing the character of Dambisa on Scandal!.
The multi-award winning comedian and actress joined Mehlareng Actors in 2017. She was then sent for Scandal! audition, for the character of Dambisa. It was her first audition since she joined Mehlareng and Khanyisa started as a featured extra. She then became a supporting caster on the e.tv show, as the Langa household helper. Dambisa’s son killed Kingsley Siseko Langa, to avenge the death of his father, who died back in the day. Mthunzi then targeted the Langa family, and at some point his mother Dambisa stood by him.
The mother and son duo returned to Scandal! back in May, to cause more havoc. Mthunzi was set on using Sammy Day, claiming he is his long lost son. He wanted to scam him millions of money,and run away. Dambisa was lured into the plan, and pretended to be Mthunzi’s blind aunt. Sadly for them, they got caught, and Dambisa felt so bad for how her son turned out, such that she eventually committed suicide. That became the end of Dambisa on Scandal!
Bidding farewell to Dambisa, Khanyisa said she will miss her. She thanked everyone for the love they have shown her since assuming the role.
