POWA Reacts To Allegations That They Are To Get Funds From DJ Fresh and Euphonik. When it comes to this issue, the plot keep on getting thicker. Every time we think the dust has settled, DJ Fresh and Euphonik find themselves trending for the wrong reasons once again. The duo made headlines a couple of months ago, after asocial media user alleged that they sexually assaulted her.
Nampree took to Twitter to publicly say that in 2011, DJ Fresh and Euphonik sexually assaulted her and three other women. They were then taken off air pending investigations. Amidst the controversy, Primedia Broadcasting, announced that it has parted ways with the two DJs. Things looked brighter for the two when the Chief Prosecutor dismissed the allegations on the basis that they are without merit.
The latest news doing the rounds is that DJ Fresh and Euphonik are now suing, Nampree a million rands. The alleged victim has once again come to social media to air her grievances over the recent activities. She revealed that should the DJs win the case, they will donate the R1 Million to POWA.
POWA is a feminist women’s rights organization providing clinical, legal and sheltering services to survivors of domestic violence and rape.
In their statement, POWA said they are saddened to hear about the false rumors which are being without verifying the facts. “POWA has not and will not be receiving money from Dj Fresh & Euphonik. We remain committed to our mandate. A press release will be issued shortly,” they said.
