Katlego Danke Rocks A Beautiful Dress In Honor Of The Late Dr Sindi. The 10th of April 2021, will go down history as one of the saddest day in South Africa. That is when we lost our beloved Sindisiwe van Zyl. She made a name for herself by always going all out to share health information as well as helping others where she could. Because of her extensive public health advocacy, Dr Sindi was known as “the people’s doctor”.
The Kaya FM presenter, was hospitalized on February 2021, until her untimely death two moths later. Dr Sindi passed away at the age of 45 from COVID-19. Besides being selfless, Sindi was also well known for her bubbly personality and zest for life. Her love for colourful caftans and flowing dresses was an expression of this. She particularity loved dresses with pockets, and rocked em a lot of the times at functions.
During her virtual memorial service held a few days after her passing, scores of social media users wore dresses to honor her. This came after broadcaster Kea Motlokwa made the call on Twitter. Although it has bee almost two moths, there are some people who still celebrate Dr Sindi by wearing beautiful dresses with pockets. One of those is talented actress Katlego Danke.
Katlego chose today to remember her friend Sindi in a heartfelt post. Rocking a log beautiful boob tube floral dress, the Gomora actress said it reminded her of Dr Sindi. This also brought memories of her friend’s childhood experiences. Just like many of us, Katlego appreciated all the great lessons that Dr Sindi left.
“Today I remembered an angel. Gone too soon but never forgotten. It’s the pockets that reminded me of you. Took me back to your childlike joy in things you love. You left many lessons but also painful hearts for a life we will experience no more. #RIPDrSindi#Dresseswithpockets,” Katlego said.
