The radio station recently came under fire after one of their former employees Pearl Modiadie, opened up about her sexual harassment experience while still working for them.
The media personality and actress revealed that more than once, reference was made about her body shape and how ‘sexy it is’. Uncomfortable sexual innuendos were also thrown around during conversations, even in the presence of her now former colleagues. Although Pearl complained to the station manager, o steps were take, ad the alleged perpetrator is still enjoying his stay at Metro FM.
A number of top radio personalities have parted with the SABC radio station under unpleasant circumstances over the years. The likes of DJ Fresh, Bonang Matheba, Tbo Touch and Phat Joe are among those who left Metro FM because of misunderstanding with management.
Pearl Thusi is also a former employee of the station. One social media user spoke about how he missed Pearl and Phat Joe, who used to have a hit show on Metro FM. When another tweep pointed out that the duo can hold a mean midday slot on Metro, Pearl responded by saying, she would rather die.
