Asavela Mngqithi Bags A New Acting Role
Asavela Mngqithi Bags A New Acting Role. It was quite sad when Isibaya came to an end a few months back, after running for a whooping seven years. The Mzansi Magic drama introduced us to some of the talented actors in South Africa. It wasn’t easy to bid them farewell, but even good things do come to an end. The Bomb Productions show has been replaced by hit series, DiepCity which is produced by Black Brain.
As it is the norm, when a show ends, the cast bids farewell to the production and viewers. Among those who penned beautiful farewell messages is Asavela Mngqithi. The loved actresses took to social media to open up about her journey on the show. Asavela revealed she was supposed to be on the show for only six moths, but her character remained went on to air for almost four years. This was her first time on TV as an actress, and she is thankful for the golden opportunity.
Asavela’s impressive talent has earned her another major role in a leading drama series. She is part of the Abomama cast, which is returning for season II on July 4. She has not said much about her new role, but we can’t wait to see her do her thing. Actress and model, Nandi Mbatha will also join the show as a new cast member.
Another new face on Abomama is Khabonina Qubeka, who is stepping in for Khanyi Mbau. Mbau is involved with another project, so her schedule is tight. Original cast members Joyce Skefu, Kenneth Nkosi, Nokuthula Ledwaba, Masechaba Moshoeshoe and Unathi Guma will return to the show.
