Appreciation Messages Pour In For Gomora’s Siya Xaba (Langa). He have such a stellar perfomace over the past couple of months. Many came to know Siyabonga Xaba in March 2020, as one of the original cast members of Gomora. He played the role of Langa on Mzansi Magic drama series.
We all remember him as this cheeseboy from Sandton who had a great command of the Queen’s Language. Langa had just moved into his grandmother’s house in Alexandra with his mother, Thathi ( Katlego Danke) and little sister Buhle (Ama Qamata), after that dreadful hijacking incident that left them fatherless, broke and homeless. He formed such a great brotherhood with Teddy (Sicelo Buthelezi) and Ntokozo(Ntobelo Sishii).
Unfortunately even good things do come to an end. We will never ever get to see Langa after he died tragically as a victim of arson. His father’s wife Gladys (Thembi Seete) set Langa’s family house on fire, and he became a victim. The talented actor and producer left viewers saddened by his departure from the series which is on it’s 2nd season.
Apart from playing Langa on Gomora, Xaba rose to prominence after getting the role Zweli Hlatswayo in SABC1’s End Game. He has also played roles that includes Xolani in 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls – Season 1, Young Chekura in The Book of Negroes – Season 1, Najim in Strike Back and Forget in Soul Buddyz.
From Mzansi Magic channel, producers, cast members to fans, Xaba was showered with appreciation messages for killing the Langa role to the end.
