Tweeps Drag Joshua Maponga For His Take On Bishop I Makamu’s Scandal

Tweeps Drag Joshua Maponga For His Take On Bishop I Makamu’s Scandal. This has been one of the most anticipated shows in the history of Moja Love show, Amabishop. Everyone wanted to hear what Bishop I Makamu had to say for himself regarding the scandal that he finds himself in.

Recently a viral recording of a conversation between Bishop Makamu and an unidentified woman emerged on social media. On the audio, the Rea Tsotella presenter, is asking the church congregant who works for him for something that many have concluded to be a sexual favor. After the lady gave him her physical address, Makamu wanted reassurance that no one will see him, and that the lady was alone. He repeatedly asks her if she “will give him,” and the woman giggles whilst maintaining her decision of not giving him what he is asking for.

This past Sunday evening, he was interviewed by Amabishop host, Nimrod Nkosi. Those in the panel, were fellow men of God, Joshua Maponga, Pastor Enock and Apostle Makhado Ramabulana. Makamu has come forth to say that what he was asking for was a key. He also maintained his argument, that the family wants to extort money from him, with the father having asked for a R1 Million from his lawyer.

A lot of viewers were waiting for what Maponga will say, since he is known for spitting facts without fear or favor. Well, last evening was a bit different as many noticed that he was rather taking Makamu’s side. Instead of Maponga grilling Makamu, he advised victims against taking matters to social media, or the mainstream media, where a lot of opinions are formed. On congregants calling pastors ‘Daddy’, he pointed out that they fill the vacuum left by absent fathers, hence there is nothing wrong with that.

The Zimbabwean born public speaker, author, philosopher, leader, musician, and social entrepreneur went on to say that men of God should now stop communicating with women congregants on any matter, in order to avoid being accused for things they didn’t do. Angry tweeps said Maponga is defending Makamu because, he is also having a similar case at the moment.

On the other hand, Ramabulana was hailed a hero for standing up for the truth. He stated that there is nowhere in the Bible where God instructed people to call religious leaders, ‘Daddy’.
