This morning we woke up to the sad news that actress and sports presenter Amanda Manku has lost a loved one. The talented Skeem Saam star revealed that she lost her grandmother/mother on Instagram. She shared a black and white picture of a bird bowing its head in the rain.
“I’m numb. R.I.P Mama R.I.P Koko,” she said.
Amanda hails from South Africa and is a television sports presenter and actress. She is popularly known for presenting the SABC Education youth series and the child programming block YOTV. The actress is also best known for her role of Elizabeth Thobakgale on Skeem Saam.
In the current storyline on the soapie, Amanda’s character Lizzy is entangled in a love triangle involving Zamokuhle and Glenda. After her mother, Principal Thobakgale found out that Zamo, Glenda, T’Bose and Mmapitsi intend on replacing her daughter as the maid of honour at Mmapitsi’s wedding, she didn’t take the news well. She informed Lizzy about his who also did not take well to the decision. Lizzy has since distanced herself from the group and now Mmapitsi wants to mend things.
