Opening up the trends for this week is Bonang Matheba, who is on a mission to take a certain YouTube content creator to the cleaners. A few weeks ago, Rea Gopane made news after boldly saying on his podcast that Bonang introduced his ex boyfriend AKA to drugs. This conversation came after AKA’s fiance’s Nelli passed away. There was a rumor going around, regarding her death, where people kept saying the death was related to substance abuse. The rumor also continued to say Bonang was the one who introduced AKA to those substances.

Rea, took things further by publicly saying that he heard from Scoop that Bonang introduced drugs to AKA. The media personality lawyers then made contact with Rea, and asked him to retract what he had said. He didn’t do so, and on Sunday, Bonang decided to serve him with the letter. In the letter, it is stated that Rea has to apologize in all his social media platforms, and also pay Bonang an amount of R500 000 within 10 days.

In his response, Rea took to Twitter, and expressed shock, over how things turned out. After saying that Bonang has his number, Rea went on to point out that he loves and appreciate Bonang. He also regards her as his inspiration and urged her to take care.
