Manaka Ranaka Gives A Classic Answer After Being Asked If She is Zulu or Tswana. After the passing away of His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini, the Zulu nation has been blessed with yet another king. Queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu was then set to temporarily serve as a leader until the next Zulu King was appointed. Sadly she passed on after a few weeks of her appointment. Her will was read at her funeral, in which she recommended her eldest son King Misuzulu Sinqobile kaZwelithini as the heir to take over the reigns.
King MisuZulu was welcomed with open arms, and he became an instant hit among the entire South Africa. Celebrities also joined in by putting up statuses on social media as a way to show that they are happy with the King’s appointment. One of those is Manaka Ranaka, who shared a pic-mix picture of King MisuZulu and King Shaka Zulu. She captioned the picture, “Baaaaaaaaaayede ??? #ZuluUyasabeka.“
One of her followers asked the veteran actress if she is Zulu or Tswana, of which she responded, “@makgakathato ngi mo AFRIKA!!!”
The question could be genuine, or the person who asked could be throwing subtle shade Manaka’s way. Manaka’s father is Tswana, and he has family in Botswana, a country where most Tswana people reside. Her mother on the other hand is Zulu.
In South Africa, the major ethnic parts of the group are the Zulu, Xhosa, Bapedi (North Sotho), Tswana, South Ndebele, Basotho (South Sotho), Venda, Tsonga, and Swazi, all of which predominantly speak Southern Bantu languages.
