Jackie Phamotse On How Long It Takes Her To Write A Book. She is one of the most well known authors in the country. Jackie Phamotse is popularly known for controversial publications such as Bare: The Blesser’s Game, I Tweet What I Like, So Sue Me and Shattered Innocence.
The best selling author is also known for her strong stand when it comes to various issues affecting women and kids, such as mental health, rape, and human trafficking. Although some people find her controversial, others think she is a voice for the voiceless. Her outspokenness has gotten her in trouble with the likes of Basetsana and her husband Romeo Kumalo.
On the brighter side, Phamotse has earned herself a Netflix deal for her 2017 debut novel, Bare: The Blesser’s Games. The novel, which was awarded the African Icon Literary Award in Lagos, Nigeria in 2018, throws a light on the dark underworld of blessers and slay queens. We cannot wait to see how it will do as a movie.
Phamotse has just taken to Instagram to announce that she is about to release yet another book. As expected a lot of her fans are waiting for her latest offering. In the beginning of March, she revealed the cover of her book, which is all about children. LIWA is a kids book series inspired by Phamotse’s Goddaughter, she is an animated loving human being. She said the book series, which touches on issues like overcoming anxiety and depression, will inspire great educational conversations between parents and kids.
