The storyline was set on the backdrop of the taxi industry, with two young lovers who are torn apart by a century-old feud between two powerful families. Sadly the show that started production on the 18th of March 2013, had its final episode on the 2nd of April 2021. Former cast members like Sdumo Mtshali, Asavela Mngqithi, Nkanyiso Mzimela and Nomzamo Mbatha took to social media to share appreciation posts to fans as well as the entire production. The Bomb Productions drama has been replaced by another hit telenovela, DiepCity which is produced by Black Brain.
DiepCity has been a hit among viewers since it made its debut a few weeks ago. The show explores the struggle of four young women trying to make their way in the world. DiepCity focuses on disillusioned, young women who were forced into crime while in high school, just to make ends meet.I t boasts seasoned actors like Mduduzi Mdakane, Dawn Thandeka King, Nozuko Ncayiyane and Hamilton Dhlamini.
Since DiepCity has replaced Isibaya, it went without saying that the two at some point will be compared. When famous tweep Mr Handsome asked if it was a good idea for DiepCity to replace Isibaya, a lot of people then opened up about how much they miss Isibaya.
