In 2003, she was a finalist in the Miss City Press contests and won the 2005 Miss Soweto crown. In 2018 Lerato bagged herself a SAFTAs Best Presenter Award for the long running SABC1 music show Live Amp. The award winning media personality, actress and entrepreneur’s star is shinning even brighter this year. Lerato is among those celebrities who have already claimed 2021 as their year for the taking. A month ago, she opened her first beauty franchise, a Tammy Tailor store. She has always been about beauty, and this business fits perfectly well with her brand.
As a radio host, Lerato is definitely making her presence felt in a major way. She joined Metro FM and co-hosted The Bridge, with media personality Dineo Ranaka. The duo were later joined by another celebrated media personality, Somizi. Their ‘Ask A Man‘ feature is quite popular with listeners. The Bridge aired from 09:00 to 12:00. Now Lerato has just made history by bagging her very own show. Her new show, Midday Link Up, made it’s debut on the 1st of April at 12: 00, and it is already a hit with listeners. This lunchtime slot was occupied by Thomas and Pearl, who had their last show on Metro yesterday.
