Zanele Potelwa Gushes Over Her New Lunchtime Show On 5FM. Her star is without a doubt shinning brighter. Zanele Potelwa is fast-becoming one of the biggest names in the local entertainment today. The award winning media personality has attracted the attention of leading TV channels and radio station.
Zanele started as a mentee when she was still interested in radio as a hobby. She learned from the bosses and other established broadcasters like Roger Goode and Thando Thabethe, who inspired her to start pursuing radio as a 21 year old. Zanele has been with the popular youth station, where was the traffic presenter on the station’s weekday breakfast show ‘The Roger Goode Show’. The talented Selimathunzi presenter also was a hosts her own show on the 10am- 2pm slot on Sundays. Her persistence has paid off, and Zanele has just bagged herself a new show on the station. She is the new host of the lunch slot on 5FM, and we are here for her wins. By having her own show, Zanele has increased the number of female radio personalities who are currently taking up space in the airwaves.

Apart from being in the entertainment industry, Zanele is also a champion debater. She loves debating so much and as part of the debating team, Zanele traveled to Australia and New York. She placed third in the World Championships in Australia for one of the categories and placed 22nd overall in the whole tournament. Zanele also went to New York as a prize for winning a national science debate about nanotechnology & biotechnology. For six whole days, she was the Blair Waldorf of the Upper Eastside. What a phenomenal young woman to look up to!
