Watch! Bonang Gives A Powerful Message At The We See Equal Summit.In 2017, Procter & Gamble (P&G), launched this gender equality campaign to show the world as equal. Built on the theme ‘#Unsaid and #Undone’, the summit brought together leading voices on Gender Equality to challenge the current discourse and commit to the actions needed for progress.

This year, the summit saw participation from global equality advocates, Bonang Matheba Indra Nooyi and Anita Bhatia. Our very own Bonang is very passionate about issues of gender equality and making sure the girl child get education, so that they are set for life. The media personality, entrepreneur and philanthropist delivered an impactful speech titled, ‘The Power of Your Voice’ at the recent gender equality conference in partnership with UN Women.

Bonang spoke on using the power of your voice in whatever ecosystem you operate and her message is being shared today as the world celebrates, International Women’s Day. She would like to see more black women taking ownership of their space. Bonang wishes to see more women equipped with tools to negotiate deals in the media space. Instead of only being content producers, she wants women to own media platforms. Bonang advised that this should be started at grassroots level, where girls are equipped with education and a strong sense of confidence.
