Sad Note: Shepherd Bushiri Mourns His 8 Year Old Daughter. There is nothing as devastating losing a child as a paret. The pain and grief are indescribable, ad it takes a while to process all the emotions that come with such a tragic event. Hence why our thoughts are with Shepherd and Mary Bushiri who have just lost their daughter Israella.
Israella had been in hospital for weeks, battling a severe lung infection. Earlier this month, it was announced that her illness had worsened and she was transferred to ICU. During that time her father asked his followers to pray for Israella as well as the family. Unfortunately, she succumbed to the lung infections much to the devastation of her parents and loved ones.
Bushiri describes Israella as a strong young girl who loved to worship and serve God, despite her young age. He also pointed out that Israella was brilliant in her speech and possessed a divine excellency in the way she spoke and even tackled her studies.
In February 2021, Bushiri’s daughters and mother-in-law were prevented from leaving Malawi to travel to Kenya. Within days, though, Israella was allowed to travel for treatment. The Malawian government said she required a bone marrow donation, The self proclaimed prophet said that the Doctor, highlighted that if Israella had not been blocked at the airport the first time she needed to travel to Kenya for medical assistance, she wouldn’t have passed on.
“Rest easy my daughter Israella. As a Father it was my desire to see her grow and serve the Lord, however, the will of God was for her to return back to Him.” Bushiri said.
In 2017, the controversial Bushiri sent shock waves across the nation following the unveiling of prices for his upcoming gala dinner, ranging from R1 000 to R25 000. As if that wasn’t enough, the Pretoria-based Malawian pastor took to Facebook to show off his daughter’s birthday present. Four year old Israella was gifted a U.S.$414,000 Maserati to mark her fifth birthday on December 25.
