Queen B Reacts To A Fan Who Threw A Bonang Matheba Inspired Birthday Celebration. She definitely nailed it to a tee. Zambia based dancer and influencer, Wabei Yeta recently celebrated her birthday, and channeled her idol Bonang Matheba on almost everything. She wore a dress similar to the one that Bonang wore when she celebrated the launch of her new canned sparkling wine, House of BNG Nectar. The purple high slit dress, was the talk of town, and a few months later another stylish celebrity, Ayanda Thabethe rocked a similar dress but in white.
Wabei also stood her own, and looked stunning on the dress. She even took pictures, posing the same way that Bonang did when she wore the purple number. Just like a real true loyal fan, her birthday was themed Wabei’s BNG Brunch. The celebratory drink of the day was of course a variety of House of BNG beverages. Talk about going all out!
This gesture without a doubt was going to catch Bonang’s attention, one way or the other. The celebrated media personality was blown away when she saw the pictures on Instagram and wished Wabei a happy birthday.
This is not the first time, someone drew inspiration from Bonang for their event. Back in 2019, for her Matric dance, a young lady by the name Dineo Tlotlo wore the same dress that her idol Bonang wore when she celebrated her epic 30th birthday. Paying attention to detail, Dineo even had her own ballerinas who posed with her for an iconic picture.
“I did what needed to be done,” she said. Talk about a stan!
