Pics! Inside Lala Tuku’s Star Studded 40th Birthday Celebration. It was indeed a celebration fit for a queen, Lala Tuku went all out for her 40th birthday. The actress, television presenter, director, producer, vocal coach and events entrepreneur made sure that her party will be the talk of town for a very long time. Lala celebrated her birthday firstly by thanking God, then secondly honoring the queen she has become, and thirdly having a celebration with women whose lived touched hers at some point.

My wish was to celebrate this milestone with a majestic offering. This was a thanksgiving; firstly, to raise my eyes to the heavens in wonder. Secondly, to honour the queen that I have become. Lastly, to cross over with queens whose lives have touched mine. The presence of the Lord was all around. Whose holiness reigns,” Lala said.

Lala looked absolutely gorgeous as she changed into stunning outfit after another at her black gown themed party. Inspirational female celebrities like Basetsana Kumalo, Connie Ferguson, Rami Chuene, Kgomotso Christoper, Azania, Rosette Ncwana and Mampho Brescia, graced the beautiful celebration. Lala’s two beautiful children were also there to usher their mom into the fabulous 40’s.

Lookig at her impressive CV, Lala has every reason to reward herself. Many remember her for her role as socialite swinger Paris Zondi in the e.tv soapie Scandal! She also had a role in the SABC1 soapie Generations, hosted the SABC2 magazine programme Life 24/7 and starred in the SABC1 mini-series Dream World, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, set in a contemporary South African setting.

In 2006 established the corporate entertainment consulting company Corporate Icons, that conceptualizes and produces large scale events. She was also a producer on the SABC1 celebrity gossip show The Real Goboza (2009) and the religious programme Top Gospel, in 2010. In addition, she was an assistant director on the youth soapie Backstage.

Lala was the executive producer of the 13th annual South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs), in 2019. She is also is the brain behind several of Mzansi’s local productions including Isono on BET and The Estate.
