Former Uzalo Cast Members Back For Season 7

Former Uzalo Cast Members Back For Season 7. This is a season that will definitely change the ratings of Uzalo. Over the last couple of months, the once loved SABC1 soapie has been dropping in terms of ratings. Something had to be done to save Uzalo, since it risked to be axed like what some shows experienced lately. Producers of the show had to turn things around, and season 7 is coming through with those changes.

First and foremost we saw the introduction of Shauwn Mkhize on the eve of the much anticipated season. The multi millionaire’s brief cameo appearance is set to shake things up. Another fresh face added to the award winning cast, is Khabonina Qubeka. The actress has not revealed the character she will play, but by the look of her social media posts, it is a gangster role!

To shake things up even more, Uzalo has recalled some of their old cast members. Already Pastor Mdletshe, a role played by Glen Gabela is back. He has appeared on a few episodes, and is already making his presence felt. A few months ago, we saw the return of Mumsy, who is played by Nomcebo Gumede. The much loved duo of Nay Maps and TK Dlamini, is back, making fans go crazy. They played notorious criminals, Mxolisi and Mastermind, who terrorized the streets of KwaMashu. Khaya Dladla, who played GC, is also coming back to Uzalo, as well as Nokuthula Mabika who played salon owner Thobile.

Sadly, as new faces come in, the show is also bidding farewell to the old cast. Baby Cele who played Gabisile left the show a few weeks ago. She was a woman determined to do everything to protect her family. Siyabonga Shibe and Jet Novuka are also said to be leaving Uzalo soon. Syabonga played Qhabanga, who changed from being a corrupt cop to a pastor, whereas Jet played the role of no nonsense Captain Mpambani. The seasoned actors will surely be missed.

#UzaloSeason7 Our Comeback game is too strong. #Newbies#Comebacks We’re Bringing all the HEAT,” Uzalo shared on their social media platforms.
